Scotland replaced the Bangladesh team in Group C of the T20 World Cup 2026 after raising security concerns. They submitted an application to reschedule the matches from India to Sri Lanka or to change the Group. But ICC rejects their plea and forces them to play in India, where they felt security threats. Keeping their heads up, Bangladesh opt to withdraw from the event rather than play in India, the host nation for the mega-event.
It all started when BCCI ordered Kolkata Knight Riders to remove Mustafizur Rahman, the Bangladesh’s Fast Bowler, from their squad in the IPL 2026.
